GROUND HOG FOR BREAKFAST....YUMMY

Well we've made it another year and we're all anxiously awaiting the appearance of Paint Bank Paul, a somewhat obscure and little known groundhog that lives up Bear Wallow Holler, near Paint Bank Va. Now Paul was once very famous, but due to the advent of the accelerated fame of his brother Phil, who self-banished himself to the beautiful mountains around us. Paul is actually a very late riser, as a matter of fact, we have to set up flood lights around 10:45pm in order for him to come out...see his shadow and run back into his den. This officially kicks off a very special dish that we feature in our Swinging Bridge Restaurant..
the often imitated but never duplicated Ground Hog Gravy...ladled over fresh ...hot...home made buttermilk biscuits. Drop by for Groundhog Day and have a taste of the real thing Ground Hog Gravy and biscuits.
