Once In A Blue Moon

I often catch myself saying things that are rediciously not true just because they've been said for a long time....like "I'd like to jerk a knot in them" or I'm having a "Bad Hair Day" that's just a "Drop in the Bucket" or "A little Bird Told Me" (Yea right, have you taken you medication today") Chances are, these sayings are all just "a pack of lies", but "Once in a Blue Moon" they might be true. Let's take the latter...what is a Blue Moon? What I found on the internet says that a "Blue Moon" happens every 2 1/2 to 3 years when a single month has 2 full moons and the second is cristened the"Blue" one. Or take this one "a man of few words" I know a few of those, but then again, maybe I was talking so much when I was around them that they "couldn't get a word in edgewise"..."a face that only a Mother could love"...why, that's just ugly. You know, we really "don't know diddly squat" about what any of them really mean so I quess that makes me "a day late and a dollar short"so why don't I just "shut my pie hole".
