A brief sabbatical
We're doing our spring cleaning early in Paint Bank because when Vern hits, it's a wild time in the ole' town. Right now, The Swinging Bridge is closed for improvements....some like the floor being re-finished are obvious, but the rest are out of sight.. You'll still be able to eat cause we're still cooking. Available for you in the General Store will be a myriad of our famous "from scratch" mouth-watering buttermilk breakfast biscuits...made fresh that day and topped with country sausage...bacon egg..cheese and etc. On the "chop block" ,will be homemade Buffalo Trail stew...and... Hey... we grow that meat here...butcher it locally...we know what's going on and there isn't any recall meat here...just fresh from the farm to you.
We'll also have a soup of the day and fresh deli sandwiches in the cooler...after all ,"Cookin'" is our middle name.
We had a great week-end and want to give out a big "thank you" and Holler to the hundreds of folks who stopped by to see us...we appreciate your business.
The Swinging Bridge will open back up this Friday with all that "slap your mama cookin" so yall make plans to come on down....and while you're her...come across the street to the Lodge and say Hey...I'll say Hey back at you.
Only 31 days left to "Vern" comes to town.
Question of the Day...Why is the name John Hancock synonymous with "your signature" ?
John Hancock's big bold signature on the Declaration of Independence dwarfed all the others. Legend has it that Hancock want the King of England to see his rebellious signature without having to wear his spectacles.
