Maybe age puts a new perception on life, or maybe it's the desire for a simpler time, whatever it is, I find myself lamenting and day-dreaming so much these days that the sounds and feeling of the past become reality. I want to take you on a trip that begins at Ripplemead Virginia, crosses the New River and ends up in Paint Bank, Virginia where I now live and work. It will be, at times, a wild and wonderful journey...at other times you'll wonder why I'm here, but you'll always...always know where You came from....great Americans...the folks that made YOU what you are and this Great country what it is. Your trip will take you through Norcross..Kimballton...Crafts...
Interior...Kire...Foley...Pettit...Ray...Waiteville...Laural Branch and end in
Paint Bank. Some of the stops are still there, some have been laid to rest by Mother Earth...and the span will be some 300 years. So get on board with me ride the Potts Valley Branch for a re-introduction to paradise and a quest to find out what life is really about....take the ride yourself from Hwy #460 down #635 to Paint Bank...you'll be glad you did!!

Interesting facts....The first Model A Ford sold for $375.00 in 1927...I'm thinking that won't hardly put a month's worth of gas in.
